Actor and film director rob Reiner, and his wife Michele Singer, died this Sunday in their home in brentwood (Los Angeles, United States) in what police describe as an apparent homicide. The family released a statement expressing their devastation: “It is with deep regret that we announce the tragic death of Michele and Rob Reiner.We are heartbroken by this sudden loss and request privacy in these incredibly tough times.”

Authorities responded to the Reiner residence late Sunday following a medical assistance request from the Los Angeles Fire Department.They discovered the lifeless bodies of the film director and the photographer,both stabbed. Police are now investigating the family’s inner circle. The los Angeles Times reports authorities are questioning a family member regarding a possible connection to the deaths.
People magazine reports, citing multiple sources, that their middle son, Nick Reiner (32), allegedly stabbed both victims. Nick reportedly struggled with addiction. The magazine also states that the Reiner’s youngest daughter, Romy, discovered the bodies and called authorities, attempting to save her parents. However,authorities have not made any arrests at this time.
