Robbie Williams has secured his 16th UK number-one album with his latest release, Britpop, surpassing The Beatles. Released in January, the milestone achievement cements the singer’s long-running solo dominance following his departure from the boy band Take That in 1995. Festival organizers have confirmed that Williams will headline the Colours of Ostrava festival in 2027.

The milestone album Britpop arrived in January, pushing Williams past The Beatles in total chart-topping records across official UK album tallies, which include compilation and studio records. Williams originally rose to fame in the boy band Take That, contributing to a string of successful singles before leaving the group in 1995 to launch a solo career. His 1997 debut solo album, Life Thru a Lens, featured breakthrough hits such as “Angels” and “Let Me Entertain You.” Over more than three decades in the music industry, Williams has accumulated 13 studio albums and 18 Brit Awards, though a Grammy Award win continues to elude him.
Colours of Ostrava 2027 Festival Plans
“Robbie Williams is primarily a persona for me. He is a person you know, even if you might not be his fan,” says Filip Košťálek, artistic director of Colours of Ostrava. Košťálek notes that Williams has maintained his relevance and ability to surprise audiences over a 30-year span while keeping a distinct artistic identity. “And these are exactly the personalities we want to bring to Colours—artists who have a strong story behind them, great songs, and at the same time can create a moment that a person will remember long after the concert is over,” Košťálek adds.
Ticket Pricing and Availability
Tickets for Colours of Ostrava 2027 are currently available through the festival’s official website. Standard four-day passes cost 4,190 Czech crowns. Discounted Fresh tickets for attendees aged 16 to 21 are priced at 2,690 crowns. Admission for children taller than 140 centimeters and up to 15 years of age is available for 1,690 crowns.
