Rochester Regional Health Launches Student Loan Repayment Program for Critical Healthcare Roles
Rochester, N.Y. – March 16, 2026 – Rochester Regional Health (RRH) today announced a new initiative to support future healthcare professionals and address critical workforce shortages. Through a partnership with Clasp, RRH will offer student loan repayment assistance to Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Surgical Technologists, and Radiologic Technologists.
Addressing Workforce Needs and Financial Barriers
The program aims to alleviate the financial burden of student loan debt for individuals pursuing careers in high-need clinical roles. These roles are vital for maintaining timely surgical and diagnostic services within the Rochester and Finger Lakes region. Eligible CRNAs can receive up to $180,000 in student loan repayment support, while Surgical Technology and Radiologic Technology graduates may receive up to $30,000 and $25,000, respectively.

How the Program Works
Students can apply for the program while still in school, secure an employment commitment with Rochester Regional Health before graduation, and begin receiving structured student loan support once they begin full-time employment. The initiative is designed to create a clear pathway to employment and encourage clinicians to build their careers within the region.

This new initiative complements Rochester Regional Health’s existing clinical education and workforce development programs, including the Rochester General College of Health Careers and its accredited Surgical Technology and Radiologic Technology programs. RRH’s long-term strategy focuses on building local talent pipelines, reducing reliance on temporary labor, and fostering a sustainable, high-quality care environment.
