Ron Finemore Transport Pioneers Fuel Efficiency with Mercedes-Benz Actros ProCabin
Wagga Wagga-based Ron Finemore Transport has integrated the first Mercedes-Benz Actros ProCabin into its fleet, signaling a commitment to safety, efficiency, and reduced emissions. The move aligns with the company’s strategy of operating a modern and technologically advanced fleet in Australia.
Focus on Safety and Efficiency
James Dixon, CEO of Ron Finemore Transport, emphasized the company’s dedication to maintaining a leading position in fleet standards. “Ron Finemore Transport is proud to operate Australia’s safest, newest and most modern fleet, and we are committed to improving efficiency, reducing emissions and prioritizing vehicle safety,” Dixon stated according to Mercedes-Benz. The Actros ProCabin was added to the fleet shortly after its Australian launch.
Aerodynamic Design and Fuel Savings
The Actros ProCabin distinguishes itself through its aerodynamic design, which Mercedes-Benz claims delivers a significant reduction in fuel consumption. Specifically, the elongated front conclude and other aerodynamic measures provide fuel savings of up to 3% as reported by Daimler Truck. This efficiency is particularly crucial in the current economic climate, where fuel costs are a major concern for logistics providers.
Advanced Safety Features
Beyond fuel efficiency, the ProCabin incorporates a new five-radar active safety suite as standard across the entire Actros range. Ron Finemore Transport highlighted its satisfaction with the inclusion of the Active Brake Assist 6 safety package, reinforcing their commitment to driver and road user safety as noted in Truck & Bus News.
