The suspect in the case of the alleged fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Roy Suryo, again showing a photocopy of Jokowi’s diploma. A photocopy of the legalized diploma was shown after he accompanied the three expert witnesses he presented in today’s examination.
“This nih, nih media friends,” said Roy Suryo while showing a photocopy of Jokowi’s legalized diploma in front of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya building, South Jakarta, Thursday (12/2/2026).
There were two photocopies of legalized diplomas in Jokowi’s name which were shown by Roy Suryo. The two diplomas have different colors.

One diploma is white with black ink. Meanwhile, another diploma has a darker paper color. However, today, Roy Suryo did not explain in detail the differences between Jokowi’s two legalized diploma photocopies.
Previously, on Wednesday (11/2), a photocopy of Jokowi’s diploma was shown by Bonatua Silalahi, a public policy observer who was an expert witness for Roy Suryo cs. On this occasion, Bonatua explained that a copy of the diploma was obtained from the KPU which Jokowi used when registering for the 2014 presidential election.
“Well, I explained to the investigator earlier that I, as a researcher, really need the data that I (got from) the KPU as secondary data. Because this is a copy of primary data that is recognized by the KPU,” said Bonatua.
“The KPU believes that this is primary data from a photocopy that they took from the original. Even though there is no evidence that it was clarified or authenticated. They only do the verification level. But that’s the best we currently have data for. “That means it’s legal, administratively legal,” he added.
3 Examined Member Witnesses
For your information, today Roy Suryo’s camp proposed three people as expert witnesses. These three are Commissioner General (Ret.) Oegroseno, cultural observer M Sobari and former Chairman of PP Muhammdiyah Din Syamsuddin. The three of them are currently undergoing examination at Polda Metro today.
Previously, the Roy Suryo cs camp submitted a request for copies of 709 documents related to the alleged fake diploma case of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Roy Suryo’s camp said 505 documents were submitted by Gadjah Mada University (UGM) as documentary evidence in the case.
“So we asked for data from PPID from Gadjah Mada University and they then said that they had submitted 505 documents to Polda Metro Jaya and that was one part of the 709,” said Roy Suryo cs’ attorney, Refly Harun, at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Thursday (5/2).
Refly admitted that the document request was for the benefit of protecting the legal rights of Roy Suryo cs. According to him, his party has the right to know what evidence was used by investigators to determine the legal status of Roy Suryo, Rismon Sianipar, and Tifauzia Tyassuma or Doctor Tifa in this case.
“If it’s general information, especially if it’s related to evidence or evidence that could convict people, then sure justify to ask what actual evidence has been provided,” he said.
Jokowi’s diploma shown at case title
Regarding Jokowi’s diploma, previously investigators from the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya had shown Jokowi’s original diploma to Roy Suryo cs. Jokowi’s original diploma issued by the Faculty of Forestry, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) was shown during a special case at Polda Metro Jaya.
“We convey that in this special case forum, with the permission and agreement of the parties in the forum, investigators have shown a diploma in the name of Joko Widodo issued by the Faculty of Forestry UGM as confiscated by investigators from the reporting party, Engineer Haji Joko Widodo,” said Director of Crime and Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, to journalists at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Thursday (18/12/2025).
This special case was held at the request of Roy Suryo cs, who was named a suspect in the case. This special case was held at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday (15/12), which was also attended by Jokowi’s team of lawyers.
“Once again we convey to our colleagues that on the occasion of this case the investigator has shown a diploma in the name of Joko Widodo which was issued by the Faculty of Forestry UGM,” he added.
