Sportswear brand Castore has announced a notable partnership with Rugby Australia (RA), becoming the official apparel supplier for the nation’s rugby teams. The deal, reported to be worth more than £5 million ($6.8 million) per season – exceeding their agreement with England Rugby – marks the largest kit deal in Rugby Australia’s history.

The agreement encompasses the supply of match kits, training apparel, and travel wear, alongside a “fully integrated retail operation” aimed at serving fans both in Australia and globally. This extends to all national teams, including the Wallabies (men’s national team), the Wallaroos (women’s national team), and the Sevens programs, and also supporting the pathways system and community game.

Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh stated the partnership aligns with a brand that shares a “high-performance mindset” and will deliver “genuine innovation” for athletes and supporters. He emphasized the deal’s importance in strengthening all levels of the sport and prioritizing the fan experience.

Castore’s growing portfolio includes sponsorships with Red Bull Racing, Alpine Formula 1, English soccer club Everton, and the England and Wales Cricket Board. However, the company recently lost its contract with the McLaren F1 team, who have switched to Puma.
