Samsung Advances Immersive Gaming with Glasses-Free 3D and HDR10+ Technology

Samsung is pushing the boundaries of immersive gaming experiences with advancements in glasses-free 3D technology and HDR10+ Gaming, showcased at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2026 in San Francisco. The company’s efforts focus on delivering more realistic and engaging visuals through both hardware innovation and collaboration with leading game developers.

Expanding the Glasses-Free 3D Gaming Ecosystem

Samsung announced plans to expand support for glasses-free 3D gameplay on its Odyssey 3D line of gaming monitors. This technology aims to provide depth effects without requiring gamers to wear special glasses. According to Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics, the Odyssey 3D is designed to make gamers sense fully immersed in the action.1

To build a robust 3D content ecosystem, Samsung is partnering with various game studios. The 3D gaming library is projected to exceed 120 titles by the end of 2026.1

Featured Games Embrace 3D Technology

Several prominent game titles are adopting Samsung’s 3D technology. Hell is Us, an action-adventure horror game from Rogue Factor, will be available on the Odyssey 3D ecosystem in March 2026.1 Cronos: The New Dawn, a survival horror game developed by Bloober Team, is slated to join the 3D gaming library later in the year.1 Both games will be playable through the Odyssey 3D Hub, Samsung’s dedicated 3D content platform, which currently supports over 60 titles.2

HDR10+ Gaming for Enhanced Visuals

In addition to 3D technology, Samsung is enhancing visual experiences through HDR10+ Gaming. This technology automatically analyzes each scene and frame to optimize HDR quality for each game.1

Samsung is collaborating with game developers like CD PROJEKT RED to integrate HDR10+ Gaming into popular titles such as Cyberpunk 2077. The company is also expanding its partnership with Pearl Abyss, bringing HDR10+ Gaming to their upcoming open-world game, Crimson Desert, scheduled for release in March.1
