San Diego Wave FC Kicks Off Fifth Season with Home Opener Against Houston Dash

SAN DIEGO (March 13, 2026) – San Diego Wave FC will begin its fifth season in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) this Saturday, March 14, against the Houston Dash at Snapdragon Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. PT , as the club celebrates its anniversary with fan experiences and giveaways.

Fan Fest and Pre-Match Activities

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the Fan Fest, presented by La Croix, taking place on the East Lawn outside of Snapdragon Stadium from 2:15 p.m. To 5:15 p.m. PT. Activities include face painting, food trucks, interactive games such as a panna court, an inflatable Wave FC soccer shot, and cornhole. A beer garden will as well be available for those 21 and over.

New Fan Experiences at Snapdragon Stadium

Gates will open at 3:45 p.m., allowing fans time to explore new experiences throughout the concourse. The North Turf Pad will host the all-new Kids Zone, presented by Invisalign, featuring face painting and poster-making activities. Fans can also visit the 5th Anniversary station on the South Turf Pad to take photos with Wave FC memorabilia and write messages to the club and team.

Entertainment and Special Performances

The Wavemaker experience, led by social media personality and San Diego State University dance team member Nicole Leano, will hype up the crowd before kickoff. Singer-songwriter and actress Caroline Lobbin will perform the National Anthem. During halftime, the SDSU Dance Team will perform, showcasing their recent success at the 2026 UDA College National Championship, where they placed 5th in D1A Jazz and 4th in D1A Hip Hop.

Giveaways and Merchandise

Attendees will receive a limited-edition Fifth Season Rally Towel. Fans who purchase any jersey at Saturday’s match will receive a free Fifth Anniversary Patch, commemorating the 2026 Jersey Collection as the Merch of the Match.
