Chashu Entertainment, the game’s developer, focused on creating meaningful quests and progression systems that reward player engagement. According to programmer John Sadler, the team drew inspiration from CRPGs with rich character exploration and quests that demanded skill, and effort.

Sands of Aura is set in Talamhel, a world consumed by an endless sandsea following a cataclysmic event. Players grab on the role of a Remnant Knight, tasked with confronting a new threat to the realm. The game emphasizes exploration, with each island offering unique encounters, combat challenges, and lore. The sandsea itself isn’t merely a transition space but an integral part of the adventure, encouraging players to chart their own course and discover hidden secrets.
