São Paulo FC Enhances Fan Experience with New Food and Beverage Partnership
Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club São Paulo has partnered with Gourmet Sports Hospitality (GSH) to manage food and beverage operations at the MorumBIS stadium, effective immediately. This move follows the termination of a contract with previous provider, Fgoal, last month, after allegations of unauthorized transactions.
The agreement with GSH began on Saturday, coinciding with São Paulo’s home match against Palmeiras. Club officials described the intervention as an “emergency measure” to ensure continued service for fans. TheStadiumBusiness reports that GSH will focus on the complete and permanent structuring of food and beverage services for future events at the stadium.
Legal Dispute with Fgoal Resolved
The decision to switch providers came after São Paulo detected unauthorized transactions linked to Fgoal. Maquina do Esporte reported that a São Paulo court ruled in favor of the club in its legal dispute with Fgoal on Monday. Fgoal has been ordered to pay approximately R$792,000 (approximately $151,000 USD, £113,000, or €130,000) to São Paulo FC, along with associated legal costs.
GSH’s Role and Experience
GSH has signed an initial temporary contract with São Paulo, with plans for progressive adjustments in the coming weeks. The company, founded in 2013, specializes in managing food and beverage services for large-scale events, including football stadiums, concert halls, and festivals. TheStadiumBusiness notes that GSH already serves other prominent Brazilian stadiums, including Allianz Parque (Palmeiras) and Arena MRV (Atlético Mineiro).
São Paulo’s Strategic Objectives
According to a statement released by São Paulo FC, the partnership with GSH is a key part of the club’s strategy to improve the fan experience through increased efficiency and organization, as well as to drive revenue growth. The club emphasized its commitment to continuous improvement and providing a high-quality environment for its supporters.
