Zenko Research Institute Launches SCOP Learning Beta
Zenko Research Institute Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO: Takashi Miyamoto) released the beta version of SCOP learning, an e-learning platform. It provides online know-how for using nursing care technology. This launch is part of a project to develop digital core human resources in nursing care, focusing on “smart caregivers.”
Background and Purpose
Japan’s declining birthrate and aging population create an urgent need to improve productivity in nursing care. Zenko Research Institute has already worked with over 11,000 individuals through its “smart Caregiver” qualification exam-the industry’s first. This exam defines and develops people who combine digital literacy with practical skills. However, successful on-site digital transformation (DX) requires standardized knowledge and the ability to master new technologies like AI,IoT,and robotics.
The Ministry of Health, Labor and welfare has designated the number of digital core human resources to train as a national KPI. With the growing shortage of nursing care workers, developing these skills is a national priority.
This service leverages Zenko Research Institute’s “smart nursing Care Platform (SCOP).” SCOP was developed with support from the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Growth (AMED). It also incorporates experience from operating the Smart Caregiver program and the field expertise of Zenkokai, a social welfare corporation. the goal is to digitize and widely share operational reform know-how. This know-how is based on research from the Ministry of Health,Labor and Welfare’s digital core human resources training program and the Cabinet Office’s Strategic Innovation Creation Program (SIP).
