Daegu FC Celebrates Sejungya’s Historic 80-80 Milestone with Fan Event

South Korean football club Daegu FC has announced a special fan engagement event to commemorate striker Sejungya’s achievement of scoring 80 goals and providing 80 assists in the K League, a first in the league’s history. The celebration includes a unique fan message campaign and the distribution of commemorative beach towels.

Sejungya, who joined Daegu FC in the 2016 season, has become a pivotal figure in the club’s history. His recent milestone of 80 goals and 80 assists marks him as the first player in K League history to reach this dual milestone. Fan Engagement Event Details

To celebrate the historic feat, Daegu FC has launched the “Sejungya Gonryongpo Beach Towel Giving Event.” Fans are invited to submit messages expressing their support and memories of Sejungya. These messages will be compiled into a special keepsake to be presented to the player. 160 participants will receive limited-edition beach towels featuring two distinct designs:

• “K League King”: Incorporates traditional motifs from the portrait of King Taejo of Joseon and a red background, symbolizing Sejungya’s achievement.
• “Daegu King”: Features traditional patterns from the Seonhwadang in Gyeongsookam Park and the team’s signature blue, reflecting Sejungya’s role as a symbol of the club and city.

The event runs until October 3, 2025, with winners to be notified on October 4, 2025. The beach towels will be distributed at Daegu iM Bank PARK during the home match against Paju Frontiers FC on October 5, 2025.
