As a Senior Manager Advanced Analytics (m/f/d), you will drive data-driven decisions in Commercial Operations by developing and implementing business intelligence strategies, leading analysis projects and translating complex data into actionable insights.
A typical working day:

Building and implementing strategies in collaboration with commercial operations, sales, marketing and external partners.

Planning and controlling analysis projects, extracting, integrating and evaluating customer and market data from multiple sources to answer strategic and tactical business questions.

Responsibility and further development of key commercial tools and platforms; Ensuring high data quality, reliability and user-friendliness.

Conduct sophisticated analysis to identify performance trends, generate insights, and advise on resource allocation, channel mix, and sales organization efficiency.

Defining, tracking and communicating critical metrics and leading indicators across teams; Maintain dashboards and established reporting cycles for stakeholders and senior leadership.

Create clear, compelling presentations and insight narratives that influence decisions and drive action.

Ensuring compliance with company policies, data protection and data governance standards (in particular GDPR); Implement controls and documentation for reproducibility and audit readiness.

Collaborate with IT and global analytics teams to build scalable data solutions, automate data pipelines, and modernize analytics products.

Support forecasting, segmentation and targeting initiatives using sophisticated modeling and experimentation methods.

Collaborate with alliance and cross-regional teams to harmonize definitions, share standardized processes, and ensure consistent measurement across regions.

Establishment of analytics SOPs, playbooks and reviewer guides; Standardize code, QA processes and release management for dashboards and models.

Proactively identify issues, risks and data gaps; Recommend pragmatic solutions and establish alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.
This role is right for you if you have the following:

Experience leading commercial analytics and business intelligence initiatives from conception to launch and adoption.

Practical expertise with CRM and marketing platforms (e.g. Veeva CRM, PromoMats) as well as modern BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) to create and scale dashboards.

Strong competency in data wrangling and analysis (e.g. SQL and at least one of the Python or R languages) and familiarity with data modeling and automation practices.

Knowledge of methods to support sales and marketing planning.

Sound understanding of data governance, data protection and compliance principles; confident in working with cross-departmental IT, data and compliance partners.

Strong storytelling, presentation and stakeholder management skills; Ability to translate analysis into clear business recommendations.

Demonstrated ability to build collaboration in matrix organizations and to influence them without disciplinary authority.
Formal requirements:
-
A completed university degree in a quantitative or relevant field and ideally at least 8 years of relevant professional experience, preferably 5+ years in the pharmaceutical or life science industry.
