Jeremy Sochan didn’t stay on the free agent market for long. Just hours after his release by the San Antonio Spurs, the 22-year-old Polish international found a new home in New York. The Knicks decided to capitalize on this atypical profile by offering him a minimum contract until the end of the season.

A surprise departure from San Antonio despite the interest of several franchises

The release of Jeremy Sochan by the Spurs surprised the NBA world. Despite the transfer rumors that regularly surrounded him, San Antonio failed to find a satisfactory exchange before the trade deadline. Faced with competition within the squad, the winger gradually moved to the end of the bench under the orders of Mitch Johnson.
