Job Description Summary: Medical Clinic Scheduler/Registrar – Johns Hopkins All ChildrenS Hospital (St. Petersburg, FL)
This position at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital focuses on providing excellent patient access and support by accurately scheduling, registering, and assisting patients across multiple hospital clinics, rehabilitation disciplines, and departments. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for both patients and physicians, while prioritizing patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Communication & Patient Safety: Answer phones professionally, handle emergency calls efficiently, and provide accurate data.
* Scheduling & Registration: Schedule appointments (incoming, outgoing, referrals) accurately and pre-register patients, ensuring complete and up-to-date demographic information.
* Physician Liaison: manage communication with referring physicians to maintain positive relationships.
* Operational Support: Maintain knowledge of clinic operations, adhere to policies, and utilize approved tools for consistent call handling and appropriate appointment scheduling.
* customer Service: Demonstrate excellent customer service, phone etiquette, and meet productivity standards.
* Teamwork & Progress: Promote a positive work environment and actively seek personal and professional growth.
* Administrative Tasks: Perform clerical duties to support programme integrity.
Qualifications:
* Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
* Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
* Skills:
* Strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
* Visual and auditory acuity for office equipment operation.
* Fluency in English (read, write, speak, understand).

* Shift: Day shift
* Hours: 40 hours/week

* Salary: $17.70 – $28.32/hour (commensurate with experience)
