Wrestling free agency has officially heated up as the standard 90-day non-compete clauses expire for several former World Wrestling Entertainment performers released following WrestleMania 42. According to reports from F4WOnline, at least seven wrestlers are currently waiting to be signed by All Elite Wrestling ahead of the promotion’s upcoming flagship event, All In: London.
WWE Releases and Expiring Non-Competes
The wave of talent departures occurred back in April immediately following the annual showcase event. According to F4WOnline and Fightful Select, the initial list of released personnel included Kairi Sane, Santos Escobar, Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, Zoey Stark, the entire Wyatt Sicks group, and the Motor City Machine Guns. Subsequent reports indicated that The New Day members Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston also departed the company after declining pay cuts in restructured deals.
While industry reports confirm that multiple talents are positioned to enter the market, specific landing spots and contract execution dates remain undisclosed. F4WOnline noted that its sources could not verify the identities of the seven individuals waiting for final agreements, though separate internal sources suggested the total number of prospective arrivals could be higher.
AEW Roster Additions and Upcoming Events
When questioned regarding the potential incoming talent, sources within All Elite Wrestling confirmed to Fightful Select that “several” individuals are waiting to debut or sign with the organization, while declining to name specific performers. The timing aligns with AEW’s preparation for upcoming major cards, including the AEW Redemption pay-per-view event scheduled at the Bell Centre in Montreal, alongside the approaching All In: London show next month.
With standard non-compete restrictions having elapsed for the April departure class, roster changes are anticipated across the professional wrestling landscape as promotions finalize match cards for the remainder of the summer calendar.
