Simranpreet Kaur equalled the junior world record to win the women’s 25m pistol title at the ISSF World Cup Final 2025 in Doha on Sunday, while Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker ended her campaign empty-handed.
Two-time Olympian Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and 2018 Commonwealth Games champion Anish Bhanwala clinched silver medals in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions and 25m rapid fire pistol events, respectively.
It was a maiden ISSF World Cup Final medal for Simranpreet Kaur and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar.
Meanwhile, it was Anish’s second World Cup Final medal, an upgrade from the bronze he won at the same Lusail Shooting complex two years back.
The 21-year-old Simranpreet Kaur topped the final with 41/50 hits,matching the junior world record set last year by the republic of Korea’s Paris 2024 champion Yang Ji-in,who finished fourth in Doha.
People’s Republic of China’s Yao Qianxun finished second with 36/50, while germany’s Doreen Vennekamp took bronze with 30/45. India’s Esha Singh also featured in the final.
