Shu Qi Shares Childhood Dream of Jacky Cheung Came true Through Concert Collaboration
shu Qi recently revealed a long-held dream of collaborating with her idol, Jacky cheung, finally came true through a concert video project. In a heartfelt post, she described how her admiration for Cheung dates back to her youth.
Shu Qi recounted a vivid experience during filming, stating that while wearing a wedding dress for a scene, the lyrics “Your Name, My Last Name” (presumably a reference to one of Cheung’s songs) echoed in her mind. She described being almost overwhelmed with emotion when she envisioned Jacky Cheung, impeccably dressed in a suit and extending his hand towards her, requiring all her professionalism to maintain composure and complete the shoot.
The actress admitted to feeling a surge of excitement upon receiving cheung’s invitation,describing her heart as “running several times” before settling. She expressed her awe at Cheung’s continued success, noting his impressive run of over 324 concerts spanning two years and seven months, and his ability to maintain peak performance.”Idols work so hard, so I can only follow in his footsteps and continue to work hard,” she commented.
Shu Qi reflected on the journey from being a young fan to working alongside her idol, expressing gratitude for the opportunities she’s been given. She playfully concluded by imagining a future where even her AI counterpart might one day receive an invitation from Jacky Cheung, continuing the story of their collaboration.
