Silent Hill: Townfall Set to Launch as a PS5 Console Exclusive
Konami’s upcoming psychological thriller, Silent Hill: Townfall, is confirmed to launch as a PlayStation 5 console exclusive, with a PC release also planned. Currently, there are no announced versions for Xbox Series X/S or Nintendo Switch 2.
Setting and Story
Set in the 1990s, Silent Hill: Townfall follows American Simon Ordell, who returns to the island of St. Amelia in Scotland to “put things right.” Upon arrival, he finds the town eerily quiet and shrouded in fog, appearing abandoned. The game centers around Simon’s exploration of the town as he uncovers fragments of his past and attempts to understand his connection to St. Amelia and its inhabitants. He begins his journey equipped only with an IV bag and a medical wristband, and is guided by a CRTV device he discovers.
Previous Silent Hill Releases and Platform Strategy
This launch strategy continues a pattern established by Konami with recent Silent Hill releases. Silent Hill 2 Remake initially launched exclusively on PS5 and PC in October 2024, with an Xbox Series X/S version following a year later. However, Silent Hill f, released in September 2025, was available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S from launch.
Development Team
Silent Hill: Townfall is being developed by Glaswegian studio Screen Burn. Konami has been exploring different themes and gameplay styles within the Silent Hill series, and this title represents a continuation of that approach.
Release Date
Silent Hill: Townfall is scheduled for release in 2026 for PS5 and PC.
