The next chapter in the Silent Hill series aims to develop the psychological horror of previous installments while maintaining the series’ signature themes of mystery, tragedy and loss. Players take on the role of Simon Ordell, who is called back to St. Amelia Island to ‘set things right’ and encounter a town lying silent beneath thick fog that looks deserted. Simon ventures deeper and tries to understand his connection to this place and its inhabitants. He begins to discover fragments of the past that surface. The game is entirely first-person, and Simon must explore the town, avoid dangers and survive with a limited set of weapons and tools, including a CRTV, a handheld television used to tune in unstable signals,” the developer’s announcement reads.
