Traveling with an electric car is not complete without occasional charging stops. Although they are getting faster thanks to new technology, car companies are still figuring out how to shorten the crew’s time in a fun way. And one of the recent trends is a wider offer of audio, video content and games directly in infotainment.

At the time of launch, 15 game titles were available, but the offer will gradually expand.

Škoda Enyaq and Elroq electric cars with ME4 and higher infotainment software, i.e. cars manufactured from the end of 2024, will also offer these options.

The most striking novelty is the possibility to play games on the infotainment display, which is made possible by the AirConsole application. It has been available since January of this year and brings a number of fun game titles, the offer of which should gradually expand. There are also action, racing, logic, sports and downright relaxing games.

Just search for the game and launch it in the infotainment. A connected mobile phone is used for control, which turns into a gamepad. It is also possible to connect multiple phones, for playing in multiple players. Thanks to the large, high-quality display and on-board audio system, the car manufacturer promises a great experience.

Since January, it is also possible to use the Spotify application in Škoda electric cars. All you have to do is connect it to an existing user account via a QR code, which gives the crew access to their music library and a wide range of podcasts. The application is adapted for the car, streaming takes place via the car’s data connection and enables offline listening.

Also new is the built-in Spotify application, which can be linked to a user account.

You can also watch video content in the car.

The latest January novelty in the cabins of electric cars is the Škoda Play application, which makes video content available. According to the car company, this is an aggregated selection of popular sources, in addition to the channel of the brand itself, viewers can also watch videos produced by the BBC, CNN, Euronews, Red Bull TV, NASA and others.

The car’s data connection is also used when streaming video content, but this time no user account is required. Playing games and playing videos is then possible only when the car is parked.
