FC Zbrojovka Brno travels to face SK Slavia Praha in the Fortuna Arena on October 27, 2026, aiming to reverse a 0–4 league defeat from earlier in the autumn. The Round of 16 MOL Cup fixture brings together a Slavia squad seeking its first cup title in three years and a Brno side chasing its first cup final appearance in 33 years.
Fortuna Arena Host For Round of 16 Cup Clash
Slavia enters the knockout tie following a 2–2 draw against Fenerbahce in Istanbul, where Lukáš Provod and Pavel Kačor scored. Jindřich Trpišovský’s team advanced to this stage with a 5–1 win over Varnsdorf, though recent domestic fixtures brought a four-match winless run halted only by Mojmír Chytil’s late equalizer against Mladá Boleslav (1–1). Zbrojovka reached the round of 16 by defeating Frýdlant nad Ostravicí 10–0 and Králův Dvůr 3–0, before earning a 2–2 draw against Bohemians 1905 in the league with goals from Amadou Danteho and Lukáš Penxa.
Historical Head-to-Head And Squad Changes
Slavia holds a strong historical advantage in the fixture, winning 31 of 53 all-time meetings against Brno, with Zbrojovka’s last victory over the Prague club dating back to the 2014/15 season. The September league encounter ended in a 4–0 win for the hosts, featuring two goals from Tomáš Chorý alongside strikes from Emmanuel Ayaosi and David Jurásek. Chorý will not feature in Tuesday’s rematch after the striker was placed on the transfer list following a red card against Hradec Králové. Several Zbrojovka players possess past ties to Slavia, including Jaromír Zmrhal, Petr Ševčík, and Eric Hunal.
