2:08 p.m. – INDOT says all lanes of southbound Interstate 69 are closed near mile-marker 265 for a crash involving 15 vehicles. Traffic is diverting onto State Road 5 at the Warren exit.
12:58 p.m. – IMPD is urging people to drive slow and give yourself extra time on the roads.

- Leave plenty of space between you and the car ahead of you. Stopping takes longer on slick roads.
- Turn on your headlights so others can see you.
- Brake gently and avoid sudden moves.
- Clear all snow and ice from your windows before you drive.
- Give our DPW crews and other frist responders room to work.

Indiana Travel Impacts: Road Closures and Advisories Due to Winter Weather
12:25 p.m. – Indiana State Police PIO Matt Ames says troopers are starting to respond to slide offs on I-70. He is urging drivers to take their time and slow down.
12:23 p.m. – Delaware County Indiana Emergency Management says Delaware County is now under a Travel advisory.
12:22 p.m. – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is warning drivers of treacherous road conditions and urging caution.
Earlier today, Indiana State Police announced the closure of I-70 westbound near the 15 mile marker due to multiple accidents. Cleanup efforts are underway, and drivers are advised to seek alternate routes or avoid travel if possible.

winter Storm Watch: Snow Expected to Impact Central Indiana Friday Evening
8:52 a.m. – A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for several central Indiana counties, including Marion, Hamilton, and Hancock, from this evening through Sunday morning.
9 a.m. – Various safety agencies issue warnings for people out on the roads.
9 a.m. – 13News’ Lindsey Monroe says a band of steady snow from Lafayette to Tipton has already started covering paved surfaces. She said snow will continue to become more widespread across central Indiana throughout the day.
9:17 a.m. – 13News’ Sean Ash says Indianapolis is expected to get snow, 1 inch per hour, from 5-9 p.m.He notes messy roads north and northwest this morning, with dry air currently in Indianapolis. The heaviest snowfall rates are expected in Indianapolis between 5-9 p.m., with the heaviest totals north and northwest and the lightest south and southeast. He also highlights a sharp gradient near I-70 and the metro area, and a period of mist/rain tonight before refreezing Sunday morning.
