Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Announces She Is Cancer-Free After Cervical Cancer Battle
The “Jersey Shore” cast member shared the update with her followers after undergoing a series of medical procedures, including a colposcopy, conization, and a hysterectomy.
A Sequence of Treatments Culminating in Surgery
Polizzi first disclosed her Stage 1 cervical cancer diagnosis to fans in February, detailing a sequence of treatments that culminated in surgery. The procedures included a colposcopy to examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva for signs of disease, and a conization to remove abnormal cervical tissue.
Facing Fear in the Operating Room
In July, Polizzi shared a video documenting her experience on the day of the hysterectomy, describing herself as terrified ahead of the procedure. She noted that doctors removed her uterus, cervix, and parts of the vagina to ensure the disease was fully cleared. Polizzi expressed gratitude to her medical team in her September announcement, writing on Instagram that the milestone would not have been possible without them.

Cast Support and Urgent Screening Advice
The announcement prompted supportive messages from fellow “Jersey Shore” cast members Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, alongside responses from social media users sharing their own experiences with cervical cancer treatment. Following her recovery, Polizzi stated that she will undergo Pap smears every three months to monitor her health and prevent recurrence. She also used her platform to encourage women to remain vigilant about routine screenings, writing, “GET UR PAP SMEARS LADIES! & stay on top of those appointments!”
