Perot Museum’s ‘Soccer: More Than a Game’ Exhibit Kicks Off Ahead of 2026 World Cup
Dallas, TX – The Perot Museum of Nature and Science has launched “Soccer: More Than a Game,” an interactive exhibition exploring the science, technology, and cultural impact of the world’s most popular sport. The exhibit opened on March 7, 2026, just months before Dallas hosts matches for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ .
A Deep Dive into the Science of Soccer
The 10,000-square-foot exhibition reveals how physics, biology, and technology shape every aspect of the game, both on and off the field . Visitors can experience the game from a player’s perspective, starting with a simulated journey through the locker room and entrance tunnel .
Interactive Challenges and Exploration
“Soccer: More Than a Game” features 20 interactive zones designed to engage visitors of all ages. These zones allow guests to:
- Test their reflexes and measure kicking power.
- Explore the brain-body connection that drives athletic performance.
- Design jerseys and build a stadium.
- Create a team mascot.
- Participate in both physical and digital challenges.
The exhibit also delves into the innovations happening behind the scenes, examining biomechanics, performance data, and the materials used in soccer gear and equipment .
A North American Collaboration
Developed in collaboration with Mexico City’s Museo Interactivo de Economía (MIDE), the exhibition represents a shared celebration between North Texas and Mexico City, both regions with strong soccer traditions and excitement for the upcoming World Cup . While the Perot Museum focuses on the science behind the game, MIDE will host a companion exhibit, “Pasa el Balón,” exploring soccer’s cultural and economic influence across North America .
