South Carolina 400: A Late Model Showcase
the 2025 Late Model Stock Car season is nearing its climax, and the penultimate race promises intense competition. Saturday’s South Carolina 400 at florence Motor Speedway is shaping up to be a must-see event, attracting a remarkably strong field of drivers.
Fifty drivers will battle it out at Florence,including notable names like the Kvapil brothers,Keelan Harvick,Connor hall,Doug Barnes,and the Kelley brothers. Several top competitors from the CARS Tour are also joining the fray, guaranteeing a high level of skill and excitement.
This year’s South Carolina 400 is especially significant as it’s the second-to-last race in the inaugural I-95 Showdown. The Showdown champion will be crowned at the Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National Motorsports Park on November 30th.Currently,Matt Cox and Doug Barnes,Jr. have dominated the I-95 Showdown series.
Cox has already secured victories at the Icebreaker and a Showdown race at Southern National. Barnes boasts a strong record at Southern National, with multiple wins to his name. Cody Kelley also holds an I-95 Showdown win at Florence, having previously impressed with a pole position at Martinsville and an eighth-place finish.
Kade Brown stands as the only previous South Carolina 400 winner entered in this year’s race, adding another layer of intrigue to the competition.
