Brookings,SD – January 29,2026 – Jason Harms,owner of Harms Oil in Brookings,has been elected president of the South Dakota Retailers Association (SDRA) Board of Directors. The election took place during the organization’s annual meeting earlier today.
Harms will now lead the board in shaping the strategic direction of the SDRA, overseeing operational decisions, establishing key goals, and formulating policy positions.The South Dakota Retailers Association represents a substantial network of 4,000 member businesses across the state.
A long-standing advocate for South Dakota’s retail sector, Harms has dedicated nearly a decade to serving on the SDRA Board of Directors. His extensive involvement with the association spans even further back,demonstrating a consistent commitment to supporting and advancing the interests of retailers throughout south Dakota.
