She framed her run as a response to what she perceives as a disconnect between Min’s campaign promises and his governing actions. “I love this district,” Le Roux stated. “I love California, and I don’t think that Dave Min has represented this district in a way that people are excited about.”

Le Roux criticized Min, who succeeded former Representative Katie Porter, for presenting himself as a moderate during his campaign but governing as a progressive. She believes this shift has alienated voters in the district, which includes Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Newport Beach, and Seal Beach.

Notably, Le Roux extended this critique to her second cousin, Governor Abigail Spanberger of Virginia. “She really ran as a moderate in Virginia and is governing as a progressive, which I think is disenfranchising a lot of Democrat voters,” Le Roux claimed.
