Hana Dvorská and Michal Kurtiš Eliminated in Second StarDance Elimination Night

Hana Dvorská, the oldest competitor in the 14th season of the Czech dance competition StarDance, was eliminated alongside her professional partner Michal Kurtiš during the show’s second elimination night, Novinky reported. Their fairytale-themed samba to the song “I Like to Move It” from the animated film Madagascar scored just 16 points from the four-person judging panel, leaving them at the bottom of the scoreboard.

The evening featured pairs dancing to melodies from films such as Proud Princess, Lorraine to Zubeyda, Harry Potter, How to drown Dr. Cloud, Long live the spirits, and Madagascar. Judges Tatiana Drexler, Richard Genzer, Zdeněk Chlopčík, and Jana Burkiewiczová evaluated the performances across a competitive range of scores, with no couples receiving a perfect ten.

Fairytale Samba Falls Short for Veteran Competitor

The 66-year-old stuntwoman and her partner struggled to impress the judges with their rhythm and choreography during the routine. Richard Genzer delivered a sharp critique of the performance, stating that the samba was hard to find in the routine, according to Novinky reporting. Following her elimination, Dvorská expressed gratitude for the experience. Kurtiš added that working with Dvorská shifted his outlook on life, calling that personal change his biggest win of the competition. Combined scores from the judges and public text-message voting ultimately sealed the pair’s exit from the ballroom.

Tomášová and Ondráček Claim Highest Score

While Dvorská and Kurtiš exited the dance floor, other pairs secured strong positions for the upcoming rounds. Luciana Tomášová and Robin Ondráček claimed the highest score of the evening with 33 points for their energetic jive, Novinky reported. Vojtěch Dyk and Catharina Málek earned 30 points for their jive, drawing praise for strong choreography alongside notes to improve footwork. Marta Jandová and Martin Prágr matched that 30-point score with a samba that drew favorable reviews from Burkiewiczová and Chlopčík. At the lower end of the table, Tomas Sean Pšenička and Natálie Otáhalová earned 24 points for a jive, while Tomáš Matonoha and Lenka Nora Návorková secured 23 points for a valčík. Tomáš Polák and Adriana Mašková collected 20 points, and Sara Prachař Sandeva and Daniel Makovec finished with 19 points after encountering rhythm issues during their valčík.
