Steelheads Goaltenders Tiefensee and Kraws See AHL/ECHL Transactions

BOISE, ID – The Idaho Steelheads, ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced a pair of goaltending transactions on Sunday. Arno Tiefensee has been reassigned by the Dallas Stars (NHL) to the Texas Stars (AHL), while Ben Kraws has been reassigned from Texas back to Idaho. Idaho Steelheads

Kraws Returns to Idaho

Kraws, 25, returns to the Steelheads after being called up to Texas over the weekend, where he served as a backup goaltender. The Cranbury, New Jersey native has a record of 13-8-1 in 23 games with Idaho this season, posting a 3.18 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage.

Tiefensee Heads to Texas

Tiefensee, 23, is heading back to the AHL after a strong weekend performance with the Steelheads against the Allen Americans. He stopped 66 of 68 shots in two games, achieving a .970 save percentage and allowing only one regulation goal. With Texas, Tiefensee has nine wins, a 2.64 goals-against average, and a .902 save percentage.

Steelheads Goaltending Roster

With the transactions, the Steelheads currently have three goaltenders on their roster: Kraws, Jake Barczewski, and Beni Halasz, ahead of this week’s games against Tulsa.
