Early Career and Rise to Prominence
Ana Stephanie Vaquer González, born on March 29, 1993, in San Fernando, Chile, began her professional wrestling career in February 2009. She signed with WWE in July 2024 and quickly made an impact, achieving success in NXT before moving to the main roster. Vaquer held both the NXT Women’s Championship and the NXT Women’s North American Championship, demonstrating her versatility and skill.
Winning the Women’s World Championship
Vaquer secured the Women’s World Championship at WrestlePalooza on September 20, 2025, defeating Iyo Sky for the vacant title. She has since successfully defended the championship against formidable opponents, including Raquel Rodriguez and Nikki Bella at Survivor Series in November 2025.
WrestleMania 42 Challenge
Vaquer is scheduled to defend her Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan, the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble winner, at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Morgan chose to challenge Vaquer over the WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill on the February 23rd episode of RAW.
Speaking Out Against Abuse
On International Women’s Day, Vaquer shared a powerful message about her personal experiences. She referenced a past abusive relationship and the importance of speaking up despite fear and threats. In March 2023, Vaquer filed a criminal complaint against her then-partner, Rogelio Reyes (El Cuartero), accusing him of physical assault, including choking and throwing her against a wall. Reyes was arrested in Mexico City and charged with attempted murder and domestic violence, but was released in 2025 although the case remains pending.
