Comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short have postponed their upcoming performance at the Miller High Life Theatre in Milwaukee, following the death of Martin Short’s daughter, Katherine Hartley Short. The show was originally scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2026.

The Pabst Theater Group announced the postponement on February 24, 2026. Tickets will be honored for a future rescheduled date, which has not yet been announced. Katherine Short’s Passing
Martin Short’s representative confirmed the passing of his eldest daughter, Katherine Hartley Short, on February 24, 2026. A statement released by the family read, “It is with profound grief that we confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short. The Short family is devastated by this loss, and asks for privacy at this time. Katherine was beloved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world.”
According to reports from TMZ, Katherine Short, 42, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
