Fiņķis dominated the evening, securing the awards for both “Gada hits” (Hit of the Year) and “Gada radio hits” (Radio Hit of the Year) with his song “Baudam!”. He was similarly recognized as the “Gada hip-hop” (Hip-Hop Artist of the Year), making him the most awarded artist of the night.

Aminata was celebrated as the “Gada solo māksliniece” (Solo Artist of the Year), while the group Sudden Lights earned the title of “Gada grupa” (Group of the Year).

Newcomer Stirna captivated the audience with a powerful and emotional acceptance speech after winning the “Gada jaunā mākslinieka” (New Artist of the Year) award. She shared her personal journey, revealing that just two years prior, she had experienced homelessness.

“Pirms diviem gadiem es biju bezpajumtniece! Es toreiz, stāvot uz jumta, teicu, ka es būšu mūziķe un būšu Arēnā. Tagad, divus gadus vēlāk es esmu mūziķe un esmu Arēnā,” Stirna stated. She dedicated her award to anyone feeling discouraged, emphasizing the importance of perseverance.

The award presentation sparked some online debate, with criticism directed towards TVNET for what some perceived as insensitive advertising placement during the ceremony. A post on social media questioned the juxtaposition of a ten-thousand euro award with an advertisement for TVNET.
