Microsoft Releases Firmware Update for Surface Pro 11 to Address Touchscreen and Pen Issues

Microsoft has released a new firmware update for the Surface Pro 11 for Business, addressing several bugs related to the touchscreen and Surface Slim Pen 2. The March 2026 update focuses on improving the accuracy and responsiveness of the touchscreen, as well as resolving issues with inking and pen hovering.

Key Improvements in the March 2026 Update

The update includes fixes for the following issues:

  • Pen Performance: Resolves problems where the Surface Slim Pen 2 inks while hovering, experiences tracking loss at lower pressure settings, exhibits inking delays, or reports inaccurate pressure levels.
  • Touchscreen Accuracy: Fixes inaccuracies in finger touches on the screen and addresses instances where the touchscreen becomes unresponsive after the device is idle or wakes from sleep.
  • Screen Protector Compatibility: Improves touch response when the device is used with a UAG Workflow Series Industrial-Grade Screen Protector for Surface Pro.
