Homaesil Library to Host ‘Blanket’ Picture Book Concert
Suwon City’s Homaesil Library will host a picture book concert titled ‘Blanket’ on March 28th, 2026, at 11 am in the library’s first-floor lobby. The event centers around the picture book The Blanket, written and illustrated by Marie Dorléans.
An Art-Convergence Humanities Program
The concert is designed as an art-convergence humanities program, blending picture book readings with orchestral performances and a children’s choir. Organizers describe the event as delivering a message of courage and comfort, aimed at helping children overcome fears and embrace the world.
Featured Performers
The reading will be led by a picture book author known as ‘Teacher Fairy Tale.’ Performing groups include LS Cable Besol Art Troupe, a professional arts ensemble integrating performers with and without disabilities, and composer Rema. The Kumsol Ensemble and Little Kumsol Ensemble will likewise participate in the performance.
Picture Book Therapy Program
Homaesil Library will also launch a ‘Picture Book Therapy’ program in April 2026, offering 20 sessions through October. This humanities healing program will pair picture book engagement with guidance from a professional reading psychology counselor, supporting emotional and relational well-being.
