Louisville Women’s Swimming & Diving Team Set for NCAA Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 7-ranked University of Louisville women’s swimming and diving team will send a contingent of 12 athletes to compete at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships. The announcement came following the NCAA selection release on Wednesday, March 4 [1].

The championship meet will take place at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia, from Wednesday, March 18, through Saturday, March 21 [2]. Fans can follow the action live on ESPN+, with comprehensive digital coverage of both preliminary and final sessions [2]. A tape-delayed broadcast of the women’s championships is scheduled for ESPNU on Wednesday, March 25, at 9 p.m. ET [2].

Meet Information

A total of 322 participants – 281 swimmers and 41 divers – will vie for national titles [2]. Qualification for the championships is achieved either by winning a conference championship event with a qualifying time or by meeting the established minimum time standards in individual events. Divers will earn their spots based on performances at the Zone Diving Championships, held from March 8-11 [2]. Selected divers will be announced on Thursday, March 12 [1].

  • Camille Murray (100 back) [2]
  • Ella Welch (100 fly) [2]

Maya Bezanson and Xeniya Ignatova will also contribute as relay swimmers [2]. The Cardinals are also qualified in the 200 medley relay, 800 free relay, 200 free relay, 400 medley relay and the 400 free relay.

  • Wednesday, March 18: Prelims | 10 a.m., Finals | 6 p.m. – 1650-yard freestyle, 200-yard medley relay, 800-yard freestyle relay
  • Thursday, March 19: Prelims | 10 a.m., Finals | 6 p.m. – 100-yard butterfly, 400-yard individual medley, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard freestyle relay, One-meter diving
  • Friday, March 20: Prelims | 10 a.m., Finals | 6 p.m. – 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 500-yard freestyle, 50-yard freestyle, 400-yard medley relay, Three-meter diving
  • Saturday, March 21: Prelims | 10 a.m., Finals | 6 p.m. – 200-yard individual medley, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard butterfly, 200-yard backstroke, 400-yard freestyle relay, Platform diving
