Tarn-et-Garonne Department Announces “The Astonishing Summer 2026” Cultural Program

The Departmental Council of Tarn-et-Garonne, France, is preparing for “The Astonishing Summer 2026,” a program designed to bring artistic performances to rural communities throughout the department. The initiative aims to foster social connections and boost tourism by providing access to a diverse range of cultural events.

Program Overview

A catalog of 35 shows, encompassing music, dance, circus arts, storytelling, and theater, has been compiled by the cultural agency of the Departmental Council. Municipalities will select performances from this catalog by June 1st to host in July and August. The program is intended to support both organizers and artists, encouraging artistic creation and dissemination within the region.

Departmental Support

The Department will provide technical and financial support to municipalities and associations organizing shows. This support is part of a broader effort to make culture accessible and bring events directly to the heart of villages. Christiane Le Corre, Vice-President of the Departmental Council, emphasized the program’s focus on accessibility and proximity.

Not a Festival, But a Traveling Program
