Southeast Missouri Tennis Set for Road Matches Against Northern iowa and drake

The Southeast Missouri (SEMO) tennis team is set to continue its season with a pair of road matches, facing Northern Iowa on Saturday, January 17th, and Drake on Sunday, January 25th.

The Redhawks are looking to secure their first win of the season after going 0-3 at the Hurricane Invitational in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Series History

SEMO has a 0-4 record against Northern Iowa, with the last meeting occurring in 2014, resulting in a narrow 4-3 loss for the Redhawks. The upcoming match against Drake will be the first in program history between the two schools.

Last time Out

At the Hurricane Invitational, SEMO faced tough competition. Highlights included a doubles victory for Mia Mayerova and Maja Bajorek against Wyoming (6-2), and a singles win for Mayerova at the No. 6 position (6-1, 6-2). Against louisiana Tech, Juliette Demunck and Kristina Kozakova won at No. 3 doubles (6-4), while Demunck (6-4, 6-2) and Bajorek (6-2, 6-2) secured singles victories.

Looking Ahead

Following the Iowa trip, SEMO will return to Missouri to compete against Missouri on January 31st and Missouri-St. Louis on February 1st, with both matches taking place in Columbia.
