Where to Stream Your Favorite Christmas Movies

We all have certain Christmas movies that are an important part of the holiday season. In the era of streaming, though, a particular title can sometimes be hard to find. If your hunting for your holiday favorites, here are some places to look.

HBO Max

HBO Max is a good place to get several live-action Christmas classics on demand. They have both “A Christmas Story” and “A Christmas Story Christmas,” the 2022 follow-up that shows young Ralphie as an adult. They also have “Elf,” “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and the 1938 version of “A Christmas Carol.”

On the animated front, the best-known offering in their collection is Robert Zemeckis 2004 “The Polar Express.” The film was made using motion capture, allowing Tom Hanks to play several different roles.

Disney+

If you’re looking for Christmas classics for kids, Disney+ is the place to go.They have “Mickey’s Christmas Carol,” “Tim Burton’s A Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Frosty the Snowman,” and “The Muppet Christmas Carol.” They also have all the “Prep & Landing” holiday shorts, featuring the adventures of two elves who work for Santa’s prep and landing team. The newest one,”Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol,” just came out this past Thanksgiving.

All of “The Santa Clause” movies can be found here, including the series that came out in 2022.Thanks to the merger with 20th Century Fox, they also have “Home Alone” and “Miracle on 34th Street.” If you don’t have HBO Max, this is also a good place to find “The Polar Express” and “National Lampoon’s christmas Vacation.” For those who like their Christmas a little more romantic, “Love Actually” offers multiple intertwined stories of people finding and losing each other during the holidays.
