A new ‘Harry Potter’ television series is coming to HBO, reimagining J.K. Rowling’s seven-novel saga into a multi-season dramatic series. The series is set to premiere on Christmas 2026, earlier than previously announced estimates of 2027. Each season will reflect the title of the corresponding novel, beginning with ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’, the original UK title.

‘The Pitt’, a medical drama set in a busy Pittsburgh hospital, has gained popularity since its debut on HBO Max in 2025. The reveal, created by John Wells, stars Noah Wyle, reprising his role in a medical setting after his time on ‘ER’. Yahoo Entertainment reports that the show’s success has sparked a return to traditional weekly TV viewing habits for some fans.
The series follows Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (Wyle) and his team as they navigate the challenges of an under-resourced emergency department. The show tackles contemporary issues such as the effects of state abortion laws, the vaccine debate, and systemic healthcare disparities.
