SOUTHEASTERN N.C. – Residents across southeastern North Carolina are currently experiencing power outages, impacting thousands of homes adn businesses. As of February 1, 2026, at 6:12 PM EST, utility companies are reporting significant disruptions in service.

Duke Energy reports 772 customers in the Wilmington area are without power.The cause of the outage remains under investigation, according to the duke Energy outage map.
