The community of Moville is mourning the loss of Tony Gillespie of Bredagh Glen, who passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital on Saturday, April 4, 2026. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.
Family and Loved Ones
Tony was the beloved husband of Eileen and a devoted father to Cathal (Michelle), Elaine (Mick), Shaun (Diane), and Carol (Thomas). He was a cherished grandfather to Shayne, Andrew, Faye, Christopher, Ellie, Sophie, Rhia, Aidan, Aaron, Cian, and Ronan.
His passing is deeply regretted by Jim, Anne, Charlie, Eugene, Marion, and Junior, as well as his brothers-in-law John (Bridget Rose) and Bernard (Joan), and sister-in-law Mary (Con). He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, wider family circle, friends, and neighbors.
Funeral Arrangements and Service Details
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects according to the following schedule provided by Highland Radio:
- Removal: Tony’s remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh (F93 E4FN), on Saturday, April 4th, at 6:00 pm, proceeding to his home at Bredagh Glen (F93 R2C5).
- Family Time: Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 pm to 11:00 am.
- Requiem Mass: The funeral will take place on Tuesday, April 7th. The cortege will leave his home at 10:20 am for an 11:00 am Requiem Mass at St. Columba’s Church, Ballinacrae.
- Interment: Burial will follow the mass in the adjoining cemetery.
