Lynda Carter Attends Angel Ball in New York City

Can’t wait! And @reallyndacarter you look amazing!! You don’t age!! a fan wrote, capturing the widespread public reaction to Lynda Carter’s recent appearance, Page Six reported. The “Wonder Woman” actress, 75, stepped out on Monday night at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City to attend the annual Angel Ball, where she was an honoree at the ball, which raises funds for blood cancer and leukemia, lymphoma and related cancer research.

For the red-carpet appearance, Carter wore a form-fitting, shimmering black gown paired with a black velvet and satin ruffled coat. She completed the outfit with black-and-silver Gucci pumps and dangling diamond earrings. The event gathered several notable figures, including Hilaria and Alec Baldwin, Kathy Hilton, Sandra Lee, and Denise Rich, to raise funds for cancer research through Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation.

Fans React to Red Carpet Appearance

Social media users flooded Carter’s recent public appearances and photos with remarks about her youthful appearance. Earlier in the year, fans reacted similarly to a photograph of the actress lounging in an outdoor bath next to a martini, with commenters questioning if she was aging backward. One commenter noted, I truly thought this was a still from a Wonder Woman episode, while another asked, My God, is she getting younger?! as reported by Page Six.

Addressing her approach to aging in previous interviews with Closer Weekly, Carter stated that she has avoided undergoing plastic surgery. I’m just too afraid of looking different, she said in 2018, adding that she has only received a little Botox. She emphasized that true beauty comes from within, noting that women possess complex and powerful inner selves.

Fitness Routines Inspiring Modern Workouts

Alongside her public appearances, Carter’s physical preparation for her role as Wonder Woman continues to draw attention. In a 1980 interview with Cosmopolitan, the actress shared that she maintained her fitness by exercising for half an hour daily, alternating between swimming, biking, dancing, floor exercises, and working with weights, supplemented by jogging or tennis every other day.

Translating those classic routines into modern training methods, chartered PT and Fellow of CIMSPA Joseph Webb recently developed an updated workout plan based on Carter’s 1970s training footage at Burbank Studios. Webb’s modern adaptations include box jumps and step-ups to replace the trampolining, wall push-ups based on the ‘bosom shaper’ for chest, shoulders and triceps strength, and weighted carries based on the ‘flab fighter’ exercise designed to improve grip, core and the muscles that keep you upright.
