Los Angeles County was placed under a tornado warning by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 10:20 a.m.The warning is in effect until 10:45 a.m.
“At 10:20 a.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Alhambra, moving north at 40 mph,” says the NWS Los Angeles/oxnard CA. “Flying debris will be hazardous to those caught without shelter. mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs,windows,and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.”
Locations impacted by the warning include Alhambra, Pasadena, Monterey Park, San Gabriel, El Monte and Temple City.

The NWS saeid, “Take cover now! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest ample shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.”
