Freezing Rain Warning for Eastern Norway
The Meteorological Institute has issued a danger warning for valley areas in the inner parts of Eastern Norway, with the highest risk of freezing rain expected between 18:00 and 24:00. at higher altitudes, precipitation will fall as snow.
Locally difficult driving conditions are being reported, and transport services might potentially be affected. Meteorologists advise drivers to allow extra time for journeys, ensure they are using appropriate tires, and adjust their driving to the conditions.
In Hønefoss, Ringerikes Blad’s reporter observed cars slipping as early as 5pm, with particularly challenging conditions reported near the free parking area at petersøya.
Road Closure on E16 Due to Bridge Inspection
