Trondheim Threat Investigation: Police Detain Four Following Reported Knife and Gun Threats
Trondheim,Norway – Police in Trøndelag are investigating reports of threats made against a man in his late teens in central Trondheim on Saturday evening. The incident involved alleged threats with both a knife and a firearm.
Authorities were alerted to the situation at approximately 10:25 p.m. local time. According to the Trøndelag police district, the man reported two separate threatening encounters to law enforcement.
“The police are working with significant resources to clarify and investigate what has happened,” stated a police release. “There is currently no details to suggest anyone has been injured, and the situation is not ongoing.”
Initial reports indicate that six to eight individuals may have been involved in the incident. police have identified and made contact with six people, all in thier late teens or early twenties, believed to be connected to the reported threats. As of midnight, four individuals – one woman and three men – have been taken into custody for questioning.
