Kildare Village to Lose Two High-End Boutiques

though Kildare Village has an exciting roster of new offerings, come 2026, there will be a void with the departure of two beloved high-end stores.

Shoppers were disappointed when the Prada boutique closed in 2024,and there’s more disappointment on the horizon with this announcement.

It’s with a heavy heart (and a lighter purse) that we bid farewell to two high-end boutiques we always enjoyed browsing at Kildare Village.

Those two stores are Missoni and Johnstons of Elgin,set to respectively close their doors on December 31 and January 5.

founded by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni in 1953, luxury Italian fashion house Missoni is one of the most recognized fashion labels in the world.

Missoni revolutionized the knitwear industry and is renowned for its distinctive designs, especially its zig-zag motifs and bold, multicoloured patterns.

After her husband Ottavio ‘Tai’s’ death in 2013 at the age of 92, rosita remained a guiding presence at Missoni.
