Arlington Police Respond to Reports of Heavy Presence Near Troy
On February 17, 2026, residents of Arlington, Texas, reported a significant police presence in the area south of Troy. The increased activity stemmed from an investigation involving allegations of sexual misconduct against Troyce Hernandez, pastor of True Grace Church in Arlington. Hernandez was arrested by Irving police on January 29, 2026, and charged with indecency with a child-sexual contact.
Details of the Arrest and Allegations
The charges against Hernandez relate to an alleged incident that occurred in 2008 involving a 14-year-old relative. According to an affidavit obtained by WFAA, the alleged incident took place in Hernandez’s apartment. The affidavit details allegations that Hernandez “became erect even as touching her back and stomach” while watching a movie.
Irving police have limited public comment on the case, citing the sensitive nature of the allegations. But, a spokesperson confirmed to the Dallas Observer that the charges are connected to an incident from 2008. Hernandez reportedly told police he did not remember the alleged event but did not deny it occurred.
