Ukrainian Defense Forces Eliminate Over 1,274,000 Russian Troops, Destroy Thousands of Drones

Kyiv, Ukraine – As of March 10, 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have reportedly eliminated approximately 1,274,990 Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022. Recent reports indicate that over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces killed and wounded 950 Russian occupiers.

Key Losses in Personnel and Equipment

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provides a detailed breakdown of the enemy’s total combat losses:

  • Personnel: Approximately 1,274,990 (+950)
  • Tanks: 11,758 (+13) units
  • Armored Combat Vehicles: 24,174 (+7) units
  • Artillery Systems: 38,202 (+73) units
  • Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS): 1,679 (+4) units
  • Air Defense Systems: 1,328 (+2) units
  • UAVs of operational-tactical level: 168,809 (+2,169) units
  • Automotive Equipment and Tank Trucks: 82,510 (+221) units
  • Special Equipment: 4,087 (+4) units

Significant Drone Losses

A particularly notable aspect of the recent reports is the high number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) destroyed. Ukrainian forces have reportedly downed 2,169 operational-tactical level drones in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 168,809 since the beginning of the conflict. Ukrainian Armed Forces Eliminated 750 Occupiers on 8 March.

Artillery and Equipment Destruction

In addition to personnel and drones, Ukrainian forces have also inflicted significant damage on Russian artillery systems, destroying 73 units in the past day. The destruction of artillery systems, along with 13 tanks, 7 armored combat vehicles, 4 MLRS, and 2 air defense systems, demonstrates the continued effectiveness of Ukrainian counter-offensive operations.

Naval Losses

The Russian fleet has also suffered losses, with one additional ship or boat destroyed, bringing the total number of lost vessels to 31.
