JACKSON, Miss. – The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) continues to make progress in restoring its IT systems following a ransomware attack that began on February 19, 2026, but cancellations and closures will extend through Friday, February 27, 2026. Regularly scheduled clinic appointments and elective procedures have been canceled, with plans to reschedule all affected appointments.
Hospital and Emergency Services Remain Open
UMMC confirmed that all hospitals and emergency departments in Jackson, Madison County, Holmes County, and Grenada remain open and fully operational. Cyberattack Details and Investigation
